Yeah you guys have probably had a million threads like this but I backtracked a little bit and couldn't really find any exact matches as to what I'm asking.

So what does being androgyne mean to you? Is it just the clothes you prefer? Is it wanting to present as a certain sex 24/7 or just part of the time? Dysphoria toward your body? To what degree? Do you like being viewed as the opposite of your physical gender when walking down the street or do you enjoy people being unsure as to which gender you are?

Curiosity killed the cat eh. Sorry if any of the questions were out of line, don't mean to offend, I'm just curious.

I think it means we are equally comfortable (or equally uncomfortable) in either role.

For me it means that I have no way of saying that i am either male or female, there is no sure internal knowledge one way or the other. It also tends to mean the problems, issues and various consequences of this lack of internal knowledge.

Interesting answers. Anyone agree with something someone else said or do you all have your differing opinions?

For me it means that I'm neither male or female, however I lean more toward female. It's way beyond clothes, it is my internal sense of gender, and at one point my dysphoria was intense enough that I transitioned m2f for a year plus. 15 years later, and I am not happy living as male, so am heading towards transition again, g-d/dess help me.

Androgyny for me means feeling divine, angelic ..because angels are androgynous too!

for me its not fitting in either Male or female boxes there seem to be 3 types of androgynes
not fem enough to be a girl & not manly enough to be a boy or
too much of a man to be a girl & too much of a girl to be a man
some people feel rhey are the other binary gender but have no desire to change.

For me, it's just a part of who I am...I guess, to be a little more specific, it's the freedom from forcing myself to fit into the binary of male/female.  It's unrestricted.

Agree 100% I always wanted to be and do everything I could, but the closest I could get to that, gender-wise, is by identifying as androgyne. Now, instead of worrying about how I present to people, I just try my best to act myself and ignore the labels that people put on behavior, dress how I like and stop making excuses for things I do and feel.

There are days when I'm perfectly cool with being bio-male and the role that goes with it. Then, there are days when I'm OK with the anatomy but not the role.

I ALWAYS wish I had absolutely no body hair. But, I've got my dad's pale Irish skin and my mom's dark Italian hair. That part, I can say for certain I am always uncomfortable with. If I had my way, every last hair below my eyebrows (and I do mean EVERY LAST HAIR, bush included) was disappear forever.

There are days (more often than not) when I wish I had breasts in addition to a penis.

But, I'm not always comfortable with being bio-male. Likewise, I don't think I'd be always un/comfortable as a bio-female. There are days (again, more often than not) when I wish I lacked the harsh jaw-line and had more femle hips.

AND, I'm not always un/comfortable being in between or neither. I'm being to like the phrase "gender fluid" more and more, as it seems to capture my moods.

That's my $0.04 (two cents times two).

Oh yes, the body hair is annoying! Gawd, women have it so easy!

I dont really have a very harsh jaw line, but it does irritate me that its not entirely feminine....people say I have a feminine face, or a rather feminine face but its not good enough!

And yes, those hips cant lie...

I have more leg hair than any other caucasian female bodied person I've ever seen, and even more of it than most guys my age or even a little older Actually I quite like it but on the whole you are right about most women having it easier in regards to body hair.

I dislike the body hair too... and also the increasing lack of hair on top of my head isn't making me happy
