Hollywood is always reminding us of its rosy vision of the future
where there are absolutely no limits to sexual adventurism and gender
confusion. Seldom is heard a discouraging word about the next new
frontier of tolerance. "If it feels good, do it" isn't merely a
T-shirt slogan. In California, it should become the state motto, and
might soon sound like a new pledge of allegiance – one utopia, casting
aside any moral compass, finding liberty and justice in applauding
every perversion.

The motto of California is "Eureka" - Greek meaning "I have found it."  Which works even better, but who really expect BB to do like, research?

In California, no one in television dares say "stop the merry-go-round, I want to get off."

Yeah, it is a shame that people are so willing to accept ignorance as fact.

Yeah, it was for gold, but its come to stand for so much more, its not just a state, its a state of mind as they say.  People have found a lot here besides gold - or gold from other sources like TV, recording industry, high tech.  Heck, even the Grateful Dead became millionaires here.

And you can only distract people so much (I hope) when they have real problems like their homes being foreclosed on, and their jobs being shipped overseas.
