AD and i are going to our first
gay pride festival this weekend!
he is psyched to the max...
i am not much of a crowd person
but i will do this for him because
i have already seen how being in
the company of those who gather under
the rainbow empowers him and instills
a genuine sense of belonging
i love the smile on his face...
that is what motivates me

AD is so lucky to have you.
He must be absolutely floating on cloud nine.
I also tended to stay away of crowds, maybe that is just part of just wants to be a regular woman. I am not stealth by any means. But I am also not an activist.

Hope he enjoys it. Tried to go to one this last summer but only got to spend a few minutes at it right when it was closing down. Was actually uncomfortable though, was worried everyone would just take me as a butch or something.
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down? Does it become part you? Maybe alone, they are truly themselves? Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?
