McCain Picks female running mate:

And a profile on his pick, Sarah Palin:

Something tells me McCain is just pulling a cheap trick to get female votes and claim he too has a historic campaign.  Sarah Palin is completely unknown, has no experience on the national and international levels, and is currently under investigation for sacking the public safety commissioner.  Her track record includes being named Miss Alaska and being an occaisonal sports broadcaster, along with being the mayor of a town of 8000 before being elected governor.  Yes, she's a woman.  That doesn't make her a great pick for vice president though.

Do the republicans think that women are going to simply vote their gender??  She is a pro-life advocate, anti-LGBT and same sex marriage, and a creationist.

I cant really imagine that they are that clueless.

Do republicans think that women think with their vaginas the same way men think with their penises?

In one respect, I really hope so, because that would pretty much cinch the election for Obama.  Especially after McCain introduces her as a hottie!

In another respect, I hope that there really are some smarter people, because otherwise I don't give a lot of hope for the human race as a whole with that many mentally challenged people in the world!

I am a registered Republican,  but the more I read and the more I hear.   McCain is fast becoming a poor choice.  In Oregon you vote for who you want and not along party lines during the General Elections.  It is looking more and more like my vote is going to Obama.

Not totally, but Obama risks alienating women if he criticizes her.

Well, I can imagine that, especially with all of those "Hillary-huggers" who would only be too eager to vote for McCain simply because of his pick for vice president and to "stick it to Obama for 'robbing Hillary'". You wait and see, we are going to be totally screwed.

She is a right wing wacko.  James Dobson has already heralded her nomination..........

Enough said.

Everyone on this Board should be registered to vote and vote for Obama-Biden.

That is the only choice for trans-people, if we want equal rights for us ALL.

I follow stateside news alot, spending alot of time there and even from all the way over the pond this looks like a cheap ploy,

im a Obama supporter i havent seen or heard anything i dislike about the guy so far and what president really has the neccessary experience before they get the job.

McCain seems the Joker to Obamas Batman.

If she was at the top of the ticket, and McCain was nowhere in sight, I might consider her.  I admire her, think she was not a horrible Gov (and people from Cali know all about horrible Govs) and has the courage of her convictions.  I like and admire people who really, in real life, walk the walk to match the talk they talk, and she does.

But, we do elect the top of the ticket, not second place.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Quotewalk the walk to match the talk they talk, and she does.

She is under investigation for firing the public safety Commissioner for not firing her sister's husband (State Trooper) which was involved in their messy divorce.

The sad thing is there are plenty of Hilary supporters that would vote for mccain simply to stick it to Obama for "stealing" the nomination.

A lot of people vote without paying one bit of attention to the issues.. Which is exactly why I don't vote. I leave it up to the people who pay enough attention, and actually understand politics enough, to make the right decision.

A vote for anyone else is a vote against McCain.
