Hey,
I need some advice on this one. I have an almost 11 year old daughter who is going into 6th grade, but is about 2 yraes behind because that is the best she can do. Even socially she is about 2 to 3 years behind other kids her age. She like to play with kids younger than her, and she just still seems "younger" than 11. She has been tested year after year since the first grade and all they have to tell me is she has a processing problem and a comprehension problem. anyway the point is, is she need more help that she will never get, so she need to be monitered all the time with homework and such so I want her to live with me and Pam during the week and  with her dad on the weekends. I'm sure he will agree to this since we both know she will only continue to fall further behind without constant supervision. The thing is can I register her in a new school, because I don't live where my kids live, but do this as her father? My last name is Santucci, Pam's last name is Reed,(for now) and Jennifer's(my daughter) last name is Davis. (my ex) I can't remember if I will have to show ID of my own, or what? I pass as a guy  now and do not want to go in to a new place having to tell them I am her mother. Pam is more than willing to pose as that when needed. I just feel I need to have Jenny with me most of the time when school starts back for the new school year. Also she is atleast 30 lbs over weight and evrything we tried in the past works for a few pounds then she just gains it back and then some. That also needs to be monitered and delt with. I can fix that as long as she is with me 5 days a week.

  Any thoughts are appreciated.         Marco

My best friend is A TS (MtF) and she date another TS which is (FtM)
Is that a heterosexual relationship or what?
Anyway they have a 7 year old daughter and they registered my best friend MtF as the mother and her SO FtM as the father.
But I live in PA so i dont know your local law

Hope this is helpful!

Chynna,
Yes, we are in a hetero relationship. Pam is a straight female. my idea is Pam and I go in as her mom and dad. Jenny has no problem with that. She knows Pam and I will be married a bit down the road. We live in Southern California.

Yes, just register as her father as long as her other father doesn't mind and is aware. I seriously doubt there's any law about being genetically accurate as opposed to socially accurate. Besides, next school year is after you have surgery. You will be her male parent at that point.

He asks 3 questions

1. Is it joint or sole custody?
2. Does her maternal father live in the same county and\or state/
3. Are you trying also to list Pam as her mother as well?

Hi Chynna:
Marco isn't online right now, but I don't think he'll mind me answering these questions.
              1.  Marco and his ex have joint legal custody.
              2.  Yes her father lives in the same county/state as we do and he is o.k. with this.
              3.  Yes, I will be listed as her mother.

Thanks,
Pam

And Chynna, I had realized what you had ment about your friends after I had posted back the first time. I had not read it through at first adn jumped the gun as usual. Thanks you guys. You too Pam.

Well He's proficient he says,
YES, it's definitly legal
citing this
California Supreme Court in its August 22nd decision in Elisa B., the Court held that two people are considered their child's legal parent, with the rights and responsibilities of parenthood if they had the child together through assisted reproduction and parented the child together. While neither parent in this case is transgender, the court's conclusion can directly be applied to transgender people who plan to have a child through assisted reproduction with their partner or spouse.
In deciding Elisa B., the Supreme Court wrote: "A person who actively participates in bringing children into the world, takes the children into her home and holds them out as her own, and receives and enjoys the benefits of parenthood, should [have the rights and responsibilities of a parent] — regardless of gender or sexual orientation."

Congrats you two

O.K.

I just have to jump in here...Marco, if you're planning on going to the school with an unbuttoned shirt like we have just walked in from a boating trip, think again!  You can have the 5 o'clock shadow, but people already drool over you enough, you're not showing the chest!! (at the school, at least).  You'll be the talk of all the office girls.  Remember what we talked about last night (well...we were talking about a bar room situation), but I don't want to have to brawl with people at the school! :o

I love you!!!
