UPDATE: I hadn't seen this appearance by Patrick Sammon of the LCRs on CNN following the announcement of the endorsement. Here you go...

I think it's safe to say that all across the political spectrum, the Log Cabin Republicans decision to endorse the McCain/Palin ticket has been viewed as misguided, preposterous and, as I blogged earlier, doesn't even represent its mission:

I agree.  It is preposterous that they endorse those who are for the Ca. anti marriage initiative.
The LCR have really stepped in it this time.  They have lost any credibility that they think they had.
