I spoke to a "senior" doctor 25 years ago when AIDS was a "new" disease we could not fully understand, control or treat. All we knew was it seemed to be more prevalent among homosexuals and intravenous drug abusers.

This doctor wanted in all seriousness to corral all AIDS patients and isolate them on an island. I hope this bigoted doctor has changed his medieval views since I spoke to him. Otherwise, I hope he is not practising medicine.
