I personally have shoulder bags and back packs thats about all I wear although I wear clothes with a lot of pockets in. Depends where I am going though.

Dude, when I was still dressing like a "girl" I used to carry messenger bags all the time because I REFUSED to wear a purse.

In fact it was this one I used to carry around:

One of my friends would still make fun of me and call it a purse :(

So to the man purse I say:  NEVAR!!!! Pockets 4 life!

I got trampled in a moshpit while MCR was playing (music fest). I never liked their music before, but needless to say I never developed a fondness for them. lol

This is getting a little off-topic, guys. Can we drag it back to the subject of bags in general and the merits/pitfalls thereof?

FYI: If you live near a hottopic that's a great place to pick up messenger bags.

I have a manbag or mag lol and I love it.  Mines just plain black leather I bought it from Primark of all places it was only £6 or $12 for all you american guys out there.  It's a messenger style, not too big not too small, just average size, looks smart, is useful and handy and I can fit everything I need to take out with me in it, I don't think they look girly at all as long as you buy from a guy range and carry it right as a previous poster pointed out.
I also have a backpack which I also like but I don't always want to carry a backpack around as I live in London and I think it can look a bit touristy, I also find it spoils the look of some of my clothes especially when I'm not dressing in more formal stuff.
