The Bri Girl

Hello!, My name's Brianne.
I'm a male to female transexual.  I live in Alaska.  I've only come out recently and began my transition about 6 months back.  I'm comfortable in public for the most part, and it's not as scary as I thought it would be.  I feel so much more alive!  I think this is the first time I've ever been in a forum, and I'm kinda scared I'm going to do something wrong, but I need support and resources, since there isn't much up here.  So, here I am.
Big Hugs to you all.

Hi Brianne,

Welcome to our little family. Over 1800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.  Like Tink said go see the rules and you'll be fine.  We are a great little family here.

Nice to have you join us, Brianne. Welcome to Susan's Place.

"Scared of doing something wrong" !! Don't we all from time-to-time?

Given the wonderful disposition you've shown on your other six posts I cannot imagine that you'll violate the most important rule around here which is being nasty to others. :) You sound like you have a good heart and a lot of compassion and care for other human beings. That seems like a very good set of qualities to me, so just relax and enjoy yourself. :)

I've wanted to see Alaska, but I think being around so few people would bother me a bit, and the winter darkness probably would as well. Heck, I would just get depressed through the winter when I lived in Berlin, Gemany because there was so little daylight in winter. What like 8 or 9 a.m. to about 3 or maybe 4 p.m. My SAD doesn't like that!!

I would like the answer to one question though, if ya don't mind. Is the willingness to go kill a caribou and field dress it and to shoot a wolf from an airplane a requirement for a woman to get elected governor there? Not that I'm running, just interested.

Pull up an over-stuffed chair and make yourself at home. I believe you're gonna find that we are all pretty nice women, androgynes and guys around here and that you'll fit right in like a missing puzzle-piece. :icon_hug: Just cozier than a puzzle-piece. :)

Nope, Shooting things isn't really a requirement.  But I think Berry picking and canning is.  Oh, and outhouses.  lot's of outhouses.
