Why GLBT's Should be Protected

This entry is about why I think GLBT's (Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgenders) should be protected from discrimination under the law. This isn't about gay marriage, because I don't have a well thought out argument for that.

Nature or Nurture?

To begin, I will explain my thoughts on the "born gay or choose to be gay" debate. I believe that people choose to become homosexual or become homosexual because of environmental factors. The reason is that I do not think any kind of sexual behavior is innate. I do not see how genetics could possibly influence who or what people are sexually attracted to. However, this opinion is irrelevant to my argument.
