The crap?

I couldn't get to the site at all yesterday.  Maybe they did a restore from backup?  Image files like the avatars and stuff are probably kept in separate files on the disk, rather than in the database with the posts.  It's more efficient to structure the site that way, but it also means that the images might not be backed up as frequently as the posts.

I'm starting to think this board hates me. Every time I post more than 3 times in a day the board crashes.

I can't change my avatar.  Whether I try to upload a new one, or point it to my PhotoBucket, it doesn't matter.  I get a message about 'can't write to data folder' or something filesystem-ish.

Same here, looks like admin needs to reset the permissions.

Since the server stored avatars are still showing up and are not all little red X's, the links to the directories themselves are probably correct, so the above would be my guess, too.

It's not a big job, but probably somewhere on a list of things that need to be done. Don't worry, it'll be fixed in due course. Until then, the server stored avatars are still usable, I think.

Permission issue is fixed. Report problems directly to me in pm or email for faster response.
