Halloween is coming up soon! Is anyone dressing up?

I really hope I can find the money to put this together:

Bought my halloween costume!

We are sooooo going to the San Francisco Halloween Festival this year, but I still haven't decided about my costume.  I usually tend to wait until the last week of October; hence we shall see... I was thinking about "cat woman" but I am not sure yet! *giggles*  ;D

Cute Gracie!

And Tink, you'll make one FINE feline.  ;)
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

Ugh.  I'll probably wind up going as a guy, like I've done since I was a kid.   ::)

I work Halloween, not sure if the crew is going to dress or not, but I doubt it this year.

I am going to be working on halloween and I ,most probably wont be going out at night as its not really that celebrated in here..

But I would most probably dress up as a convict or a cowboy!

That kinda reminds me of Gwen Stefani for some reason...  ;D

I plan to dress as an ancient scottish warrior :)  Gotta figure out what to do as far as beard though lol  don't think to many looked like were clean shaven
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

Hey Gracie..

Superb costume...you look really cute!

...wish I was young enough to get away with a dress that short.. ::)

I hope you still have enough money to hire the "Minder" you will need to keep the local guys under control  >:-)

That is an awesome dress. I was supposed to be dressing as the Mad Hatter this year, but I haven't yet found the right hat, I still have a week though, I'll find one (to the thrift store)

I am really looking forward to Halloween.  This will be the first time in our 15 years of marriage that I will be dressing as Kim and going out for the evening.  We've will be pawning the kids off on relatives and we are going to a local gay bar for their halloween party, but we might even stop off for dinner before we go.  We even talked about getting a hotel room for the evening.  I can't wait!

Gracie, you are one lovely young lady, I wish I'd had my thoughts about me at that early age.  At your age I just thought I was a freak!  But we didn't have internet back then.

More power to you!

i have to get photos of mine... vampire mistresss of darkness ^_^ ill take some new ones, as my existing ones show me in various stages of insoberity.... and sleep.

Well, I hope everyone had a better time than I did.  My plans to pawn the kids off fell through and I wasn't able to go out like I'd hoped.  I am really bummed and rather sad.  I guess I have another year before I can go out again without fear of breaking any cultural rules set down by society.

Society sucks...   :'(

Godot

I'm sorry Reluctant Kim :( I agree, society does suck..

Well, my Halloween was fun. A few people actually recognized who I was dressed up as and along with it, someone called me a "he" which made me feel extra happy

I kind of miss going out for Halloween, it used to be such an event I would not miss for anything. It was my magical night to be me and dance my backside off until my feet were too sore to dance anymore. The last time I was out was 6 years ago with a friend's three children that were left in my care for a little over two years. Never went out again. I just find such events feel kind of empty without the accompaniment of children.

But then age doesn't slow me down a bit from dancing my butt off and I still can do the hair flip.  ;D

I used to use Halloween as my one totally care free day to dress up. I even won a contest once ( 2 tickets to the Rolling Stones in Seattle ) wearing a maids outfit but I haven't done anything on Halloween in years. I'm getting old and lazy? lol!

I like your costume Gracie. I hope you went out and had wonderful time. To be young again.

Great costume I was goign to do an angel to compliment my female friends sucubus but things delayed me to the last day and couldn't get the supplies in time so I just threw on my elf ear tips with some spirit gum and a black cloak and went as an elf. this actualy worked out to our advantage because standing togther we looked like a WoW setup of elven warlock and summon and we where even asked a few times if that was what we planned by WoW fans whne we went to a Club in charolette and listened to some heavy punk metal bands. Music was pretty good but the smoke filled atmosphere nearly did me in plus standing on a concrete floor for four hours had me feeling each screw in my heel with each step and limping in rcovery the entire day afterward.
