Intersex people have some physically observable or measurable traits that are not all consistently male or female. Transsexual individuals are often defined as people who change their assigned sex from birth because they feel like they are of a different sex, but they have no measurable physical signs as do intersex people. In another category are transgender individuals who feel like a different sex or a blend of genders, but have not changed gender or do not seek to change anything.
