I am a contradiction, an enigma wrapped within a riddle and shrouded in mystery. I cannot live my life the way that I have chosen and yet am unable to live the life that I would choose.

I walk the empty halls of the shadow of the life that I live bathed in a perpetual twilight...never able to fully step into the light and afraid of remaining in the dark so long that I forget who I truly am.

I am us. I am both the woman that I was born to be and the man that I have created to take her place. I am damaged and yet unbroken. I am a child of God and seeks desperately for the peace that I have been promised and the promised land that seems forever out of reach. I am a savage happiness that longs to be expressed without words with a life lived fully.
