Cinemas Palme d'Or is now showing an independent documentary called
"The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela." The documentary debuted on
Oct. 3rd.
If you're into films a bit more risqué , winner of The Berlin Film Festival for Best Feature, The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela is the perfect documentary set in the Philippines about a transsexual prostitute looking for a way out of Cebu City.
Raquela, a "lady boy" who's biological name is Eavin, dreams of a fairy tale life in Paris. Raquela knows there is more out there than prostitution. With a few connections, she goes from a prostitute to a highly paid online porn star. Gaining enough recognition and meeting a few new friends along the way, Raquela finds herself in Ice Land where she works two jobs towards a better life.
