Australia: Bid to get parents to pay for gender change 'hopeless'

A 33-YEAR-OLD man living as a woman has made a court bid for his
parents to pay for sexual reassignment surgery as part of a claim for
"adult child maintenance".
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been financially
independent from his parents since 1993, including a period when he
was married.
