I'm not sure how to say this...

Normally girls like to be in a relationship with a guy whose taller.
Do guys who are bi/gay prefer their male partner to be taller or shorter?
Does a 5 to 10 inch difference bother them?

I know it kinda depends on the person, just trying to get an idea of what its like.

Erm, most men are taller than me so I have no option but to date a guy who's taller than me.  ;D

I'm five foot six. I prefer guys to be around my height or maybe a few inches taller. I'm not as happy when the guy is more than three or four inches taller than I am.

Character is more important to me, though. If my current partner were six feet tall, I would still be with him.

Growing up, I desperately wanted to be five ten or at LEAST five eight. I guess I saw shortness as a female attribute.

But then, I'm not cisgender. If that's what you mean.

Well, one guy has to be taller, right? The (cisgender) guy I'm with now is much shorter than I am. This creates awkward moments sometimes -- he can't really put his arm around my shoulders, haha -- but we manage! It's a matter of preference. Some guys (like me) absolutely looooove short guys. Other guys (like my guy) like tall guys. If you're slender and/or muscular, you could manage to pull off the cute twink type. Lotsa guys go crazy over that.

If I dated a guy, I'd prefer him to be around my height, say within 4" one way or another. I'll ask my gay friend and get back to you on that.

Personannly I prefere them around my height.  Makes me feel on equal ground with them.
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

Yikes, something new for me to worry about... I'm 5'4"!  (grin) Seriously though, I've always felt the most comfortable in the gay male community (THAT should have been a clue!) and couples have the same mix of heights as in any other group. I think most people have a preferance for a certain height, but it's not a requirement for them any more than a preferance for other things (hair color, build).

To me, lot of the basis for a person's preferance as to height seems to be based in how they want to relate to their partner, or what they think others will percieve them as when they see them together. A huge difference in height does call attention to a couple and that might make some people uneasy.
What kind of guy are you looking for? Although size alone doesn't determinine dominance, (We've been talking about this in the Sexuality section!) speaking in a very general way, if a person needs to feel protected or be dominated, they want a taller guy. If they feel the opposite need, or fear being perceived as the "girl" (sigh) they want a shorter partner.

(snickering) Sorry, I'm not laughing at you or your question, it's not silly, it's just.... it just struck me that I'm not worried about a 5 to 10 inch difference in height so much the one in lenght...

Sounds a lot like "we represent the lollypop league" guys perfer women who are shorter, but have great big dreams about women who are taller.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I would prefer, myself, a guy who is not only taller but older. I wouldn't feel unequal or less being small, just sorta cradled and nurtured. It also helps that I'm not very dom by nature. So yeah, i think it is just totally up to the person in question.

Well I just love tall guys but really if a person is hot (ie: attractive to me) it doesn't really matter at all.  So hopefully that should tell you something about height and it's importance to people, although I certainly don't speak for everyone I  am sure there are a significant number of people in the big wide world out there who will share my viewpoint.

If I dated a guy I would prefer him to be smaller than me. Just like how I like my girls. But if they are taller than me no big deal. Im not the type of guy to go "oooo she is to tall"
