After giving the name Mola or Raditz some thought I realized that neither of those would be passable..I didn't want to pick a commonly used guys name so I went back to the name websites (like baby name websites) and browsed through the list. Earlier today I was playing a game and some character was named "Talon" and I thought "Hmm...that's kinda a cool name but I mean, I think every game name is a cool name so it probably doesn't exist.." I've heard the name on movies too but I still thought the name didn't exist as a true name. So, a minute ago I went on one of those baby name websites and found that the name actually does exist (it's a French name they say) and it's pretty much a boys name but another website said it could be a girls or guys name. But, I kinda like the name and I think I could get used to it if I used it. It sounds cool, it's not that commonly used but it's used enough to where it's a real and passable name (I think). So I was just wondering, what do you guys think? Is it a name that could be used or no? I'm not planning on getting my name legally changed for a while but I'm just preparing for it whenever it may happen or if it'll happen. So, just wondering what anyone else thought of the name

That'd be a pretty cool name bro  Try it out for a while I guess, see if you like it. Game names are a little off sometimes (as an ex-DBZ fan, I think it'd be pretty weird going around being called Raditz the rest of your life) but Talon seems safe.

I say if you like it, stick with it. Since you're not getting the legal work done yet, see how much you like being referred to as Talon if you're out to any of your friends....it worked for me and I'm still in love with my name.

Interesting name. Why don't you try it out as a nickname? That way you will know if you like hearing it all the time. Also remember that you might not be as interested in video games later in life.

It's unusual. I seem to remember a movie character or two named Talon, but that's about it.

I'd rather have a stack of brand new released Kingdom Hearts Organization XIII games than have a boyfriend or play sports lol..believe me, games are pretty much my life. I doubt I'll ever lose interest in them. Like someone else said on here (the forum), the game KH actually had an inspiration in their life..and it has an inspiration in my life too. So yeah..sorry I get carried away..

I didn't mean to say that video games wouldn't be a part of your life, I just don't know you. I am glad you have thought about it and if plays a role in your identity even better.  Take care and talon is growing on me.

Join the party!!! I would rather have KH than anything else! It really is an inspiration, and may even be considered a way of life. I couldn't live without KH, maybe literally. (And it might have been me that said that... I was talking with someone else about it, I said something similar...)

Anyway, looks like I got carried away, too.  But you should try the name on for awhile, see how you like it. Trying it as a nickname might be good, but remember that it's hard for people to break old habits (in other words, make sure you like it enough to stay with it for a long time, because once you get people started, it'll be hard to get them to call you something else.)

I prefer Talon to Mola or Raditz they remind me of Russian 70's names.

Its hard picking a new name, however if you like it and could get used to it go for it. But dont do it unless you are 100% sure otherwise it will be a hell of a lot harder to change you name after the first time of changing it trust me!

Yeah it was you, Unforgiven who said that about KH . Oh and I was playing LoZ the day I got the idea but it wasn't really that character that influenced me. It was this Talon that gave me the positive idea about it

Raditz would have been awful, I think, personally.

Talon is pretty cool, though it certainly has more of a nickname-y feel to it than an actual name.
Like everyone's said, try it out.  If it works for you, it works for you, and that's awesome.

After all, some guy out there legally changed his last name to "Lizardlover" (COMPLETELY serious about this, he was on Animal Planet's 'Pet Star')...
So, hey, if it has meaning to you and you like it, go for it!

I think it would be cool to have an anime/game name, but it's harder to pass with those names, because most people have never heard them before. (example: If I said my name was Joe, you'd guess I was a guy by my name [because you'd heard it before and you associate it with a gender], but if I said my name something like Sora or Roxas (borrowing names here  ), you'd really have no idea, because you'd never heard that name before, and in those particular names, it is hard to discern. [although I must interject that Roxas sounds manlier than Sora, probably because Sora sounds like Sarah])

But I think Talon is pretty easy to figure out, because it is pretty manly (like you think Talon= dinosaur, dragon, etc...)
