Once upon a time, I would have been afraid to cover TheCall - the Christian rally that promised to pray for the passage of Proposition 8, the antigay marriage initiative on the California ballot. I would have felt like I was entering the lion's den.

But at the end of the day, I walked away sad for our closeted LGBT folks trying so hard to be accepted and yet also wary of their leaders - especially Focus on the Family's James Dobson. These folks are not going away, any time soon.
