http://pamshouseblend.com/showDiary.do;jsessionid=0C5B4F7338E7A9EC802C1F6A21029465?diaryId=8018NOTE FROM PAM: I am so pleased to welcome New York's Governor, David A. Paterson, to the Blend. He has great interest in engaging with the issues we discuss here in the coffeehouse, and as you all know, he is a strong ally in the effort to achieve marriage equality in the Empire State. The governor has been a steadfast and open supporter of civil equality for all. He posted his first diary here to share his reaction to last night's election - and sees an opportunity to forge new paths together.
This is my first diary post here at Pam's House Blend and I couldn't be more pleased to be here. I will be returning often to share news about what we are doing in New York. I also want to hear from you about how we can work together to make equal rights for all Americans a reality. Please visit our new site so we can continue our conversation. That said, I want to address what happened last evening.
I suspect that by the time that you're reading this, you've heard the word historic used more times than you can count.
I'd like to use it once more, but perhaps not for the reason that you might think.
