Ah, yes. Limbo land.

Professionally I'm still female for another week when management makes its announcement.  Personally I'm male and have just sent a mass mailing to my Christmas card list (extended family and friends).

So at work this weekend I noticed a problem with our company website.  It's not that great and just advertises our hours and services and a few pics of the bigwigs.  But apparently the company that made the template (it's one of those DIY services) has added many features to the template that our company does not use.

Our site was down, so I asked why.  A coworker told me that customers had been emailing orders and supposedly trying to make appointments and were ticked off when these things weren't done or they didn't get called back.  Nobody was checking the 'company email' because our company does not do business by email -- it's all phone and in person.  No one is set up to check emails.

So on another website is a message board so I posted a question to the template website company how to disable the email.  Well I used to have a website with them.  And so I get a phone call: do I say this is HE or this is SHE??  I knew it was work related when they called...  ARGH.  I should just start saying "This is."  So I said she, but then realized my posting was under my male name.

It will be easier when I'm out at work for sure.  I really hate the SHE thing.  Oh, and I did tell a telemarketer yesterday I was SIR!  after she called me ma'am.  Felt good.  And I just introduced myself to the neighbor as Jay.

On the flip side I dropped my RV off at the service place and they pulled up my account and said this is for Female Name?  And I said oh, it should be under Jay now.  Not even a raised eyebrow.

Been there and did that.  Once you are you at all times, life seems so much sweet.

Hang in, Baby.  A week isn't that long and it will go fast.  You'll see.  :-*

And changing things over is a wonderful feeling.  You will soon not even give it a second thought because you are you.   At Last

I would not worry, use whichever works for you.
Since it is regarding a  company website, they have no idea how many work there, and probably not even who called last for information. As for you and your site, they may assume it is a husband and wife, and not really paid any attention when you refer to each name and such.

Tech support only cares about getting you off the phone so they can go back to Solitaire and/or make their call numbers for the day.

In the end though how much do you really expect to deal with them, in which case, who cares.

Same Jay, been there. It was brutal for me. And you think you have to go through this big formal announcement stuff for places like the video store and all they want to know is what name is on the account. It'll pass. And you'll get some damn funny stories out of it. Like the time I was my own ex-husband at the video store....

My ex just emailed me in a panic.  I sent letters to all extended family and friends last Friday.  He wanted to know if I sent them to his family.   Well, yes.  I don't think he wanted me to tell his family about me.  I did because I still deal with them on some level.  They basically disowned me after the divorce, even though the ex was the arsehole during the whole deal.

So yeah, he's going to have some interesting convos over Thanksgiving, LOL.

But I'm not going to pretend to be female for his family, and I can tell who I want.

I told the RV roadside assistance last week that FemaleName was my sister, LOL.  I suppose ex wife would do, too.

Aw, dang! I missed my chance. I never got to be my own ex-wife.
With liberalized marriage laws do you think I'll be able to marry myself anyway?

Don't worry, Jay. Once you get every last detail straight it will be great.
Don't forget your library card! (It cost me $1 to change mine.)

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Thanksgiving.

My ex's family all know, but some never liked me anyway.  And I don't see them so I have have to be someone I'm not.

And most everyone of importance now knows, except for the library.  I don't go there anyway.  ;D

Just two steps left.  The announcement and top surgery.  By Christmas you'll be free at last.  What a Christmas present to yourself. ;) :-*
