Very nice. ;D A practical use for a Wii.

tekla

I hear they make good paperweights too.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

My son has a Wii, and my Mii looks like a dorky David Gahan. Wii bowling is fun, and I can usually score more than 100 than when bowling for real.

Ummm, prolly shouldn't say this, Buckeye, but tonight I feel brave.

Kinda two-dimensional and cartoonish, doncha think? If you're gonna look like that maybe you might consider how much of an "object of scrutiny" you be as you walk down a street.

It'll be pretty much impossible to keep everyone beside you so they won't notice 'cause of the invisibility-effect that will set-in when they are beside ya, no?

One of the disappoint things about the Mii set-up process, is that one has to choose male or female. And, it's not possible to put a male Mii in a dress. If I remember correctly, all female Miis must wear dresses.

I've forgot a lot about the Wii I guess ???

Ok, this is nowhere near Wii related, but if you've got a PS3 or 360, look into the game Fallout 3.  It's an RPG/FPS, and it lets you customize your character down to the cheekbones; male and female alike.  I rented it fom Blockbuster the othe day and had more fun playing cosmetic surgeon than actually playing the game.  Hehehehe.

/posting from the PS3, almost 4 months now without my Macintrash. :(

Yes -- but that's really the only difference they have between 'male' and 'female'.

Whoopee! Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but it's a long one for me.

I once thought of getting 3D rendering software, so I could have a virtual female version of myself. But, my computer is old (Win 2K, 128 MB RAM) and it seems a lot of rendering programs need a lot of resources. I'm hoping I my next laptop will be powerful enough to do those sort of things.

True, but I only paid $200 for it. So, I got what I paid for.

If you think that's old, I sometimes dust off my 486/DX2 66MHz, 12MB RAM, computer that runs DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 just to play X-Wing and Tie Fighter.

I don't use the thing for anything else, it's not capable of anything more than that.

I learned so much on that computer, both about how to use them, and about TS/TG issues, back when AOL had the Transgender Forum. Those were good days.

As to the Wii thing, Xbox Live has added avatars on their systems, now. You can't put a male in a dress, but you can put makeup on them. And you can easily select a female avatar from the beginning.

Blessings,
Angela

DOS 6 was an excellent version of DOS. I think it was the only good version since DOS 3.

I never got along with Windows 3.1.1, though.

Check out Blender when you get your new system.  If you haven't heard of it before, it's a great 3D renderer and animation package.  It's also free.

Thanks, Sandy. I'll look for it.
