Hello, I am Kristie and am relatively new to Susan's, but have in just the past few weeks learned so much from theWIKI to replies to my posts, etc.  With knowledge comes confidence, and with confidence comes conviction, and with conviction comes a light at the end of the tunnel, and with that comes an inner peace like I have never known before.  I am 46 years young and just beginning my journey.  It will be a long road I'm sure, but the ladies here at Susan's are like a sanctuary to me, and abounding with much knowledge through their own experiences.  I absolutely love it here, it has become "home" to me, and I thank everyone.  After many years of thinking I was "gay" I finally realized that I, in fact, am not.  I'm a heterosexual woman, just need a few alterations to match my inside to my outside.  I have suffered so long, repressing what I really am, who I really am.  I know who I am now, and I know where I'm going; and it is such a comfort to know that the ladies here will be with me the whole way through.
Thanks a million, Kristie :D

Ya, this place is pretty wonderful.  I can't stay away!

Good for you Kristie! :)

Don't go too fast now - you may leave others, whom you want to stay, behind in the dust.  As Robyn has written, I love it: Rush Slowly!

To all my "Susan's Sisters", I say "howdy" from Tennessee.  Y'all are special to me already in so many ways.  Peace, success and happiness to all.  Kristie

wow!  this is what is all about!   several religions' whole purpose is to acheive Inner peace!
I love the line in the movie Transamerica " well doctor if gender dysphorya is a mental illness how ironic that it takes only a plastic surgeon to cure it"  or some thing like that.
Yes we have stories to tell, but how lonely it is when we do not have one group of people to tell them, my shrink? one is not enough I discovered. I need to belong to a society of my peers.
nice to meet you, am also a newbie here.
love, Sheila

Hi Shiela, thanks for your input (loved the quote from "TransAmerica.")  Yes, you are right, it is wonderful to find a group who truly "understands" what this is like, many have been there...done that, and I admire them.  Our futures are in our own hands (and I can't wait to have it cut off LOL).  Anyway, welcome to Susan's and hope to see you in chat or elsewhere....Kristie ;D
