David Bowie's transsexual transformation, the slap on corporate culture, even the ultimately very bleak read on our planet's future, suggested through a number of effective statements about human beings' fascination with self-destruction, is all much easier to appreciate and take seriously now than it was some thirty years ago. Not surprisingly, in a way, The Man Who Fell To Earth proved to be way ahead of its time, thus confusing many who managed to see it in theaters around the world.
