I just read the letter that Stephanie's mother sent her.  I truly cried with happiness for such a wonderful bit of news from her mom and dad.

Wow Cindi, that's harsh. It is good that you all managed to get past it, so it's a story with a happy ending. But boy you'd have to be strong to get through that.

Well hearing that gives me hope with my parents.  They're not that bad and at least communicate with me.

Before I quote what my mother wrote to me, let me just say that we are on great terms now.  I was persistant and it didn't take more than a couple of years until my mother and father would see me, and then they would visit, and talk on the phone.  And after it all, we are closer than we had ever been.  But just for the contrast, here's what my mother wrote to me:

Dear Cindianna,

You will never be a woman.  You look ugly as a woman.  Leave my daughter alone.  Your father and I have changed our wills legally and you are disowned.  Please move to another state.

Your mother.

That came the same day as being publically humiliated with excommunication papers from my church being delivered to the place where I worked.

Wow.... I can't believe how we live through all these things.

In any case, I'm so happy for you Stephanie.  You go girl!

Cindi

Good mercy!  THat IS harsh!  I am glad things worked out!
