So I was thinking about the thread asking FtMs about periods, and wondered why not have one for MtFs about penises? (If you ladies are comfortable talking about it of course.)

The questions I have:
- Running. Equipment down there is going to bounce. Boobs ain't too fun when they bounce. Do you not feel it or what?
- Do erections have feeling? Like by themselves, as in you got an erection and completely ignored it, would you feel anything?
- Getting kicked where the sun don't shine. (Although I hope none of you have had to go through it, I'm pretty sure everyone with a penis has at one point.) What's that like? I've heard many stories, all varying in description.

Would really appreciate it if any of you are okay with sharing. :)

Not really. Maybe if you wore boxers while doing sports, you might get some jiggling, but it isn't uncomfortable.

Quote- Do erections have feeling? Like by themselves, as in you got an erection and completely ignored it, would you feel anything?
You mean sexual response? You most certainly can get an erection and just ignore it without any problems.Spontaneous erections don't have anything sexual creating them.
However, if you see something sexy and get an erection from it, things can get more difficult to ignore.
Spontaneous or created by stimuli, erections do feel nice though, in a generic sort of way - like yawning.

Well generally the first thing that happens is that you have the air knocked out of you, since it is not dissimilar to being punched in the stomach. The pain then spreads up from the testes and intensifies at two points in the lower abdomen, which weirdly enough, mimic the position of the ovaries in a woman.
IMO, the worst part is being winded - that's usually what makes men double over straight away.

 Good responses Vexing.
Ignoring erections has always been pretty easy for me. I don`t like touching myself so if my wife is not there it just doesn`t get any attention.

running was never an issue, the balls don't always sag really low and are often kept tight to the body by the scrotum. i could see how wearing boxers on a hot day could cause them to flop around.

erections themselves don't have feeling, but sometimes the constraint of pants and underwear combined with an unsolicited erection can lead to some feeling that you can't ignore and you are forced to "adjust". lol. sensitivity is hightened during an erection though, so obviously there is some feeling there.

I find it's the grazing/glancing blows are the worst! a kick, no matter where it is, is going to hurt to some extent.  of course, i've never had a swift kick to nuts either (knocks wood). now it's not really an issue for me since the boys are always tucked away nicely. :)

I do want to clarify one thing though since the thread title and this question is directed towards the penis. i abuse my penis like you wouldn't believe be stretching it, pushing it, twisting it, bending it, whatever, with no problem, it's the balls that are the pain center!

LOL

One thing missed was the responses to being kicked down there.
Girls seem to think it is only pain guys feel, and some guys do just keel over in pain. However some puke, some have to go pee, others have to go #2. It can also depend on how hard or how the blow is dealt, or just a response regardless of the circumstance.

Generally no. Certainly not to the point where it's uncomfortable or even noticable. Largely dependant on underwear, though. If it's too tight and you're sweating a lot... there can be chafing.

It depends on the context. First thing in a morning, yeah. And it's a weird one. Kinda like a mixture of wanting to go to the bathroom, focused down there, and a... tingly sort of feeling that... I just wish would go away. :-\ Other times...

That's pretty accurate.

I've never been kicked there, but I did once get a soccer ball in the nether regions at full force, high velocity and close range... and it was one of the most unpleasant feelings I've ever had. Strangely enough, it wasn't my groin that hurt the most (although it hurt like you wouldn't believe), but I got a sudden, lancing pain up through my stomach that forced me to the floor, gasping for breath, and left me with an overwhelming urge to throw up. *shudders*

First I don't run.  And if I did in boy mode it wouldn't move.  I never wore boxers.  Alway briefs, closest thing to panties that you buy as a guy.

Quote- Do erections have feeling? Like by themselves, as in you got an erection and completely ignored it, would you feel anything?
In The morning, no.  Used to mean I needed to get to the bathroom.  Other than that the only thing would be a feeling of tightness.  But a spontaneous erection would be a surprise to me, as the last one I had was about 10 years ago.

Kicked no.  But the odd mishap is extremely painfully.  The worst would be a "Ball pop".  Where one of the pesky things would pop in such a way that, OMG it would be enough to drop one to the knees.  But thank the Goddess that HRT has made them a lot smaller.  And accidently slipping off a bike seat and hitting the cross bar.  Can you picture Tim Conway as the old man.

Quote from: Janet Lynn on December 10, 2008, 07:24:01 PMAnd accidently slipping off a bike seat and hitting the cross bar.

Let me tell you a funny story. . . .

When I was a little girl shaped like a little boy, I was taught the basics of riding a bike. I had mastered the "GO" function, but had yet to learn the "STOP" function. This was my first turn on a bike.

Anyway, it was a hot summer day in SoCal. I was sweating and whizzing around on my Huffy (with training wheels, no less!) when I decided I needed to use the restroom.

Well, not having any idea how to stop the blasted thing, I reasoned that if I were to run it into the wooden fence in the back yard, it would stop.

(Can you see where this is going?)

So, I stopped peddling to slow myself down. (Why I couldn't have just stopped that way, I'll never know. I guess I wasn't thinking clearly). I didn't hit the wall very fast, but, inertia being what it is, and with a sweaty seat, I lurched forward and got acquainted with the handle bars of the bike.

Long story short, the wind was knocked out of me and I lost my bladder and bowels right there. Of course, I was crying my fool head off. I stopped the bike, though.

On second thought, it's not really funny. Just painful.

Running doesn't bounce much.

Erections hurt sometimes, like a cramp, other times they are pleasurable, most the time they are just annoying. :\

Getting nailed in the balls feels like...um... well, it hurts around the area of the would-be olvaries... it sorta feels like a yawning-cramping-expanding-twisting sort of pain.

An erection is just an erection. If you choose to do something with it then so be it. It is annoying in the morning when you *really* need to go to the bathroom and have wood. Imagine needing to pee and having a cork in the way.

I wear normal male underwear so there is little possibility of moving around. Boxers may offer another opportunity. Can't comment on the boobs bouncing just yet  :D

It'll take your breath away in a non pleasant fashion. The pain is unimaginable.

Running: With loose boxers yes they sag on a hot day and what's more noticable is a mild rash from sweat when they umm slap against the legs, and then there are times where maybe you move or sit the wrong way and one gets sort of hit or squished. They are designed to take a certain amount of abuse I imagine.

Erections: Feel like tingling, tickling, throbbing, stiffness, and a sensation that can only be described as "magnetic". Sometimes if they last a while and don't go away it aches, and feels almost burning hot against your skin (blood is warm so yeah). Usually it happens when wearing clothing so yes you can physically feel it when trying to ignore but it's one of those things you learn to block out to a degree. With tighter clothing it's difficult to sit, when that happens it feels a little like a sore muscle. Thank goodness for tucking.

Being hit: I don't think i ever have except like when noted above I had moved the wrong way.

I tried to be as detailed as I could for you guys, but now I have to go throwup lol.

I've never really had a problem with this. This may also vary depending on the...*ahem*...size of it. I'm about average size, and I wore boxers and I guess I just got used to it down there and never felt it. Plus, they're not as heavy as boobs are so they doesn't have as much weight to them if/when they do bounce.

When you get an erection there's not really any pleasure to it in itself, it's just enlarged. If you don't do anything with it, it'll just slowly start to go back down if you're not consistently turned on or stroking it. If you continue to stroke it then pleasure does build, although for me there's really only ever a lot of pleasure right before/during climax that goes away quickly. It's nothing like what I get nowadays where it's like a whole body thing before, during, and after.

The absolutely most painful thing you'll ever experience. It's a sharp agonizing pain focused in the testicles but can also spread throughout the lower regions of your abdomen as well. You can't breath, you can't stand, you can move, you just lie there writhing in pain waiting for it to subside.

I don't run, but I do exercise. Like most of the respondents, I've never had a problem.

Here's something no one else mentioned: When it's cold, the sack contracts and draws the testicles close to the body. Ever heard the phrase, Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey? I believe that's where it comes from.

Similarly, when cold, the penis shrinks to a nub, because the body cuts off the blood supply.

By itself, an erection doesn't feel like much. Mostly I feel the increased stress where the penis joins my body. If I'm wearing something that presses against my penis, I feel the pressure.

Of course, if I touch it ... but that's another issue.  [ducks]

It's no fun. But here's a related problem that no one mentioned. I once got my penis caught in my zipper. Actually, the zipper just nicked the head. OH MY ->-bleeped-<-ING GHOD!!! Granted I was only 13, but it was the worst pain I've ever felt. Worse than taking one in the crotch while playing dodgeball, for those of you who remember that humiliating ritual from gym.

Running&stuff, hence the invention of the jock strap, but most of the people I know just settle for pretty tight underwear, when I ran I did it with nylon panties and nylon running shorts, less friction.

Erection - yeah you feel them, not in a bad way.

getting chonged - The pain is enough to make you pass out and lose bodily functions, how painful do you think that is?

Running? No not really I've not noticed it normally you do notice it sometimes if you have an injury down there for some reason.

Erections do have a strange feeling. I wonder if it can be emulated... Tense your tongue up as much as you can. it feels abit like that but in your crotch. It only becomes painful if your extremely aroused and it becomes very erect but I guess women get a similar feeling. And yes it can also feel tired if it's erect for awhile.

Getting kicked is unusual it's not just stinging in the area its getting kicked in the testis which hurt the most. because the pain "jumps" and travels up the nerves to your stomach where it's not a stinging but an extreme ache inside your stomach as if someone punched you in the gut. Because of this jumping in sensation some guys do actually throw up when kicked hard enough in the nuts.

Getting racked down there is about the most unpleasant thing ever.  Not only is the pain intolerable, it also makes me want to puke.  Imagine all the menstrual cramps you've ever had rolled into a few seconds.  You'll get the idea.

BTW, now that you mention it, why is it that bikes are designed the way they are?  Shouldn't guy's bikes NOT have the bar across the top?  They have always seemed backwards to me.

They were designed that way so that the woman's skirt/dress wouldn't get held up horizontally by the bar (otherwise everyone could see her knickers).
These days it's more of a tradition than anything else, since few women wear skirts on bikes.

A lot of the trail bike have swept the bar under a bit, and should fit you with your legs at both sides and the bar about one inch under the junk.

Back when I had those parts I can tell you that if I was hit them, my underwear too tight or I knock them I would get a need to do number 2's and it wasn't the best feeling, I would get the runs.
