A transexual has fled the Sunshine Coast after an alleged vicious attack on a Caloundra street left her afraid to venture outside.

Yes, here in the US the older generations may talk trash, but its the younger ones who are likely to try to hurt you. 

I am sorry to hear there are parts of Australia unsafe for transsexuals, but its the same here.  Rural areas generally don't have much diversity, and anyone deemed different are often in for a hard time. I hope "Alice" finds a safe community soon.

That's true, though it is that very trash talk that gives license to those younger ones whom now think they can harrass, attack and/or kill and are doing so believing their actions are justified. All due to their upbringing from the older generations. Time for change!
