So this weekend, I noticed some strange silvery-white lines just down from my hip.
Pointing them out to the boyfriend, I exclaim "What the hell are those?"
He replies "Stretch marks."
On further examination, there is a number of them on the top of my backside as well.

I was prepared for stretch marks on my boobs, but on my arse?
How common is this?

I have herd it is quite common with us when we have been on HRT for a wile. and topical creams really don`t help either. It comes from tares on the bottom layer of the skin . I do know not wearing tight pants and time can help them go away.

They're not very big thus far, so I'll try some preventative maintenance - such as cocoa butter and such.
I kinda like them; they mean...progress 

I have stretch marks.  They faded slightly on their own after a few years, but they'd probably have done better if I used cocoa butter.  Alas, I was young and didn't know..

Yeah, all women (and female bodied men like myself) have stretch marks. Most of them develop during puberty and fade with time but you can still feel them there.

yea, i got them on my boobs.  near my but hippish area too.  nothing to worry about.

I've got them on my hips. They've been there as long as I can remember.
