Do any of you guys (or gals) get that feeling.. you know, at a certain time in the cycle (after the period? oh i dont know ive been on birth control for so long), when your body just feels drained, this huge fatigue overwhelms you... and it feels like estrogen is just oozing out of your skin and every inch of your body? Well i know it's probably ovulation or whatever :icon_blah:... But for me this feeling is just dreadful, painful.. plus at the same time, my sense of smell goes to superhuman levels (im starting to think it might be some kind of hallucinations, cause i always smell something like stale cigars), my skin gets clammy, i get headaches, so lightheaded.. just extremely tired and i don't even do anything..

I can't wait for T anymore, i dont even care if it's "unnatural" like my mom says i just want this tyranny to end!! i feel like i really have this demon inside me (the lady parts).. and i need to conquer it!

sorry for the ramble, had to get that off my chest.. and i have to get my chest off my chest.....

Yep.  Best thing I did was getting it all yanked.  Seriously.  All things negative related to my personal well-being disappeared with that single act.  Mostly the huge dysphoria regarding the monthly issues, but a huge mental relief as well.

Yeah, though I can't say it's as intense as what you describe.
But it does suck, very much.

You know, I actually went through something like that every month or so before I started HRT.  I'm male-bodied, so I never thought in terms of the menstrual cycle, but... that does kind of fit, doesn't it?  It doesn't make any sense, though.  How can a male-bodied person have those kinds of issues, and why did they (mostly) resolve when I started HRT?  (I'm especially glad that I'm not noticing the nasty phantom smells anymore - ash, rotten meat, BO, things even worse...)

I get what I dubbed "Testosterone sickness" where I get super aggressive and angry and then I get a headache and stomachache... :(

Don't know if it's accually the T though...

super aggressive and angry

Not exactly against the norm for men.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Interesting.  Do you smell it all the time (like, 24/7), or does it come and go in spurts?

Not exactly against the norm for men.

And we're talking about someone (Heartwood)  with a female brain being overwhelmed by testosterone--as in, not built to handle.

Same for me--male brain being drowned in frellant estrogen. GAAAH CANNOT HANDLE.

When someone pissed me off in personal fashion (usually by interpreting my shyness and quirks as signs of low intelligence and incompetence), I'd get literally sick with rage and hatred.  My gut would clench & churn and my head would throb.  When I finally started to calm down, I'd shake and tremble, and break out in a cold sweat.  I'd ache all over afterward.

Thankfully, that hasn't happened since the early days of HRT.

It comes for maybe a day or 2 during that time.. I think i read somewhere that a woman's sense of smell is higher during ovulation, i guess to be more attracted to the right mate... I dunno why i always smell the same thing when it happens tho, maybe its just my environment, or the smell of my clothes/skin or something.. or maybe im a schizo!! (ive wondered that a lot)

i wonder if it's possible, that a "male" brain/gender center and vice versa, being overloaded by the wrong hormones, makes that hormonal time feel miserable.. if that makes any sense.. or maybe its knowing youre getting hormonal, knowing these are the wrong hormones..
...yep sneakersjay if i had most of the female parts removed i would have no regrets

Hmm.  OK, bear with me.  I'm not a doctor.  However... I have epilepsy.  And what you describe sounds a lot like "simple partial seizures."  Phantom smells (that smell identical each time it happens) can be a symptom.  And because simple partial seizures occur in a very small area of the brain (unlike the type of seizures in which people lose consciousness and/or convulse) people can experience odd sensory symptoms without losing consciousness.  They're fully aware of what's occurring.  Also, some people have seizures only during ovulation and/or menstruation, and yet are fine for the rest of the month.

If you often wonder about your sanity, you sound very typical of someone who has partial seizures:  You feel like you're nuts because you're having these weird sensations.  But it's not a mental illness.  It's a temporary misfiring in the brain.

I'm not suggesting that, for sure, you're experiencing partial seizures.  But if you told a doctor, I'd bet they'd at least order an EEG.

Benjamin: well i've had an EEG before at maybe age 11-12 and the results said i was normal.. (the reason i had one tho is another story which i might make a topic about..)
oh and i was just wondering about my sanity these days because i wonder if this whole gender thing is just some delusion..

Never felt that quite like you're describing. But I ALWAYS get that feeling where my insides seem to be oozing out of me down below when Mr. Monthly comes. It's queasy and gross and I really hate it. :(

yup...
Mostly it is associated with the start of the dreaded bleeding...
Nothing makes me feel as though my body and soul are rejecting each other more
I just completely want to give up and curl in bed and sleep until its over...

Nothin with the smell stuff though just makes me really angry towards bio guys even though its not their fault
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

reason I went on "the pill" - so I could control monthly happenings into being non-existent. I know it's probably bad for me [or is it only bad for the female parts?], but at least I'm not suicidal anymore, which is somewhat worse
