Hi
A female friend (leigh) called. "i've got about a dozen people over for drinks, want to come over?" "I'm dressed as Cindy"  "Your call" I went, called a taxi -first time as Cindy - nice driver treated me totally different than I ever have been dressed in male clothes. Got to Leigh's. "You look nice" "I've told everyone your a new TG and very brave and you are my friend" What a noght everyone was sooo friendly, some of the guys were reseved but all said hello Cindy and Good night when they left. I was treated just like one of the girls. Syaayed the night in the spare bed, got a taxi in the morning, really nice driver again.
I'm still floating. YES I CAN DO IT

OH I did it
A packed Westfield shopping Mall. First day of sales. THOUSANDS of people. Had to park ~1Km away. No one had a problem Bought a skirt - and tried it on in the change room (a first). And two pairs of shoes. That now makes 30 (plus) pair of shoes for Cindy and one pair for himself ( it has to go to work as a him)

Though I think that it a moment that for the people who have done it, well, everyone is brave at that moment.  However, 95% of that bravery is getting over yourself really.  The world at large (as opposed to those close to us) doesn't care as much as we think it does.

That's been my experience. And I'll take it one step further: Thinking that the rest of the world does care is very narcissistic and self-absorbed.

And, yes, I will be the first to admit that I've fallen into that trap.
