Tiffany Club of New England's First Event 2009 Transgender conference, being held January 14 to 18, 2009 at the Boston Marriott Peabody, announces their Partners in Process (PiP) special series of workshops, socials and peer support for spouses and partners of transgender people attending First Event.

Waltham, MA (OPENPRESS) December 30, 2008 -- Many times, the stress from having a partner or spouse who is transgender can be significant. Tiffany Club's members include many couples who have successfully worked on their relationships such that acceptance, growth and compromise have created environments for the couples to find harmony together. In that spirit, Tiffany Club is introducing the following to help couples better understand each other.

Significant Other Chat – Led by Darlene G and Andrea Z
Friday, January 16th, 2-3:30pm
Be prepared to laugh, rejoice, and ponder as the group shares and discusses the trials, tribulations and celebrations of being the partner of a transgender person. This discussion group will be an open forum to learn from each other, share stories and skills, ask questions, and discuss how we maintain dignity and cope with the entire transgender "spectrum." Whether you are dealing with a part time cross-dresser, or a fully transitioned person, we can find common ground. Can we appreciate the concerns, courage and strength of our transgender partners in our complex, challenging and shared journey? Significant others of all trans-people welcome.
