Lola

Hello everyone! I'm Lola, I'm 27 and I am (as I recently discovered) the girlfriend of a MtF trans. Surprise! Anyway long story a bit longer: I found this site last night and we decided to join this incredibly fun and supportive community. Thank you, this place is beyond a miracle for us right now, so much helpful advice and information.

(Oh and I already took it upon myself to do my homework and read the posting guidelines  :icon_geekdance: )

See you in the forums.

Hey Chrissty, thanks for the warm welcome, and also much thanks for the post with the link about make-up. I'm really good at doing my own but when it comes to Mia's I was flummoxed, now everything is going much better already.

And thank you Selene, I don't know if I can welcome someone new being less than 24 hours here myself but Welcome!

Hi Lola,

Welcome to Susans.  I hope you're into roller coasters because sometimes it gets like an amusement park around here.

The important thing is that everyone is accepted and no one is judged for who they are. We only judge each other on what we wear (kidding).

Thanks Rebis. I'm glad to hear I'm not going to be judged. I have too much of a past, I'm sure to die if someone decides to club me with it now :)

Hi Lola this may be a hard track. Then again it ai'nt easy for any sister or brother. At least your SO has some one to love, and you have someone to love.

Lord I'm feeling musical tonight.

Thanks for the friendly hello emoboi!

Thanks for the Hello Cindy, in the begining (I think maybe 2 months ago) finding out was rough but after the initial: "Um, I'm pretty sure I didn't sign on for this" kneejerk reaction love found a way. There's a bunch of general confusion right now but while my SO Mia has no answers for me (or herself yet) it's getting easier to sit back and let everything figure itself out.
Oooooh an orchestra, drinks and a show, I'm in heaven  :eusa_pray:

Hi Wendy, we're just starting out but I'm pretty sure I can lend that other dimension already :) Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hey Tink,  first thing I did after joining was read the rules :) I'm used to other kinds of forums so I figured I'd better read them before I posted. Thanks for the welcome.

Hi Lola,

Welcome to our little family. Over 1300 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another SO.

Cindy

Hi Again
My wife new about Cindy before we got married. My original intention was to go for SRS at 24, I'm now 56. WE have lived a marvelous life. I truely think that a SO and a TG can live, love and transition into a world that few know. A world of true respect and love. I know it must have been utterly devastating when your SO came out too you. But what an act of love!
Your reaction is also one of absolute love.

We see too many movies, bad television shows ( notice how I cleverly didn't type TV ;D) of perfect people and perfect endings. Life isn't like that already found that out.. DUHH she says.
Although my situation was different it presented unique fun times.
We would shop till we both dropped. Have a beauty week end (frightened, the SO problem), if you want to join the skirt parade embrace it.

This is a chance to get closer to a person you love than you will ever get the chance again.
Has the OS been deceptive. Yes but I think reading the bgd material in Susan's place may say why.

Your SO may be so stressed out and nervous that she needs a bit of tender care. Go for a girl's night out, or a girl's night in. Have fun because  the clock keeps ticking.

Enjoy Life
LoL

Hi Cindy,

It was devastating but really it was more in the vein of 'why does crazy crap always happen to me' finding out my boyfriend is a girlfriend was way better than finding out (as happened in another relationship) that my boyfriend of six years was having sex with my much younger sister, and that they were planning to run away together (ouch).

Mia didn't just tell me, after a series of questionable event's I finally asked the right question and out it came, but at least she didn't lie when I finally got it right :) . In some ways I was real mad, that she lied but mostly it just explained a lot. I understood why she lied before I read the material though. Why would she not lie? She'd been doing it her whole life, by the time she got to me it was second nature.

And I am happy to say we are already enjoying girls nights in. We watch Sex and the City together, go shopping, eat chocolate, and last night for the first time I finally got her make up just right thanks to the tips on the site. But be assured she's getting plenty of TLC and pretty skirts. :)
