Wooly tights in winter ... just maybe "hold-ups" for a dressy or party occasion ...

Sheer pantyhose is stuck in a 60's - 70's time warp, uncomfortable and worn for pleasure by "->-bleeped-<-s" (no offence), and  worn reluctantly by hoards of regimented women office and shop workers.

tights are less messy than holdups... they rarely stay up... with garters its so gorram complicated, tights (read hose, im english) are quick, easy, and no fuss. None of my girlfriends ever seem to have issues with them... and the only time ive ever seen any girl my age wear holdups, it was a for a raunchy school girl outfit...

views differ per age group Laura... I cant see whats so bad about them tbh. Plus unlike wooly tights, they maintain some sexyness/ outfit compatability while keeping your warm!

Sure this is a trivial issue, but guess by "wooly" I mean opaques ...

And yes I do wear patterned tights with skirt & boots in autumn / winter.

Just that 'cos I don't work in an office or shop sheer 10 - 15 denier tan nylon tights haven't a place in my wardrobe.

And if I'm going for sheer and sexy for a night out or a date, hold ups are A1, pantyhose is a huge guy turn-off !

ah... depends on the guy... and clothes... apparenly some guys are into that!

I hold thier usefulness for shorter skirts where holdups simply wouldnt cut it... how many holdups are sheer upto your bum huh?

ah ... wish I were still young enough to get away with mini skirts ...  ...

Guess pantyhose was invented for the '60 mini skirt fashion.
