If I didn't know that this ad was supposed to have something to do with transgender rights, I'd think that a law had been passed allowing anyone to use whatever bathroom they wanted. Or perhaps some law allowing convicted sex offenders to hang out at playgrounds. But no: it's a coded attack on the transfolk of Gainesville.
For years the LGBT community has had to deal with our opponents falsely equating us with pedophiles; what's amazing to me is that decades into the modern LGBT rights movement, we're still seeing these outrageous comparisons made.
