I'm just wondering, for those of you who had to travel to get your surgery done, how did you handle the initial consultation, follow-ups, etc?  Did you have to fly out several times?  How long did you stay in town after the surgery?  How much did travel costs/lodging/food, etc. end up adding to the amount you paid for surgery?

With Dr. Brownstein we did the initial consults by email, and then had a pre-op appointment the day before surgery.  I stayed in the area until the sutures were removed at 7 days.  I was in SF for 10 days.

email/phone consultation.  i'm going to brownstein as well.  i'm gonna be in SF for 8 nights.

price will vary depending on who you go to and where you stay.

My hotel is over $2000 but my mom is splitting the cost with me.  we are getting one with a kitchen so we won't have to eat out all the time, and its only half a mile from the surgery center so that's cool.

overall it is going to cost me aprox 10k
