Hi everyone. Sorry I got to posting elsewhere before I posted a proper introduction! Is that okay?

I'm Christine. I'm 30 years old, pre-operative MTF, and started transition forever ago. In this case forever means 7 years. I've lived full time since then. I was struggling through College at the time. My parents were being patient, as I'd been sidetracked by art school. Their patience ended with my transition and I found myself living on couches and dumpster diving awhile.

My life twisted and turned, but I clawed and scraped my way into a sustainable situation. Now I live with my partner in New Jersey. We relocated together from California some 4 (and a half) years ago. Since then, I've had an orchiectomy which allowed me to change most of my paperwork and identity cards and such, though those things were already mostly changed before the operation.

I work full time for a large employer. My gender has never been an issue, but honestly I haven't broached the subject with anyone. In fact, despite my youngish transition, I always assume everyone knows my history from the first glance (I'm tall). But some people have no gaydar/transdar, which is just wonderful as far as I'm concerned.

I joined the board to pick everyone's brains about various surgeons, but already I've found myself posting about all sorts of other stuff too. It was only this evening I realized I hadn't introduced myself, so here it is!

Sounds as if you've got lots of things under control Wish I was as advanced.

New Jersey? is that something you buy in a clothes shop?
Note the incredible Aussie wit!

Hi Christine,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1490 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.   :icon_hug:
