I just got back from getting my Driver's License changed.  It has my new name and it says Female.  The lady who was entering my information in the system was very nice and kept using the right name/pronouns when talking to other people.  I only have my temporary license and I should receive my official one in the mail later next week.  I did all of this through the legal channels and got a letter from my therapist and gave the Department of Licensing all the information they wanted and evenything went through very smoothly.

I also got my new ATM card with my name change on it.  So Now I can order alcohol or whatever and not be embarrassed to show my license.

All right Melissa. I bet now you can't wait to show anyone your ID. When you go and cash a check, your waiting for the person to say can I see your ID Please? I still get a little bit of a pleasure pulling the ID out. They look at it and then look at me. I love it.

Congrats, Melissa.  I'm glad you're in one of the states in which one can still change license as a preop.  I've forgotten what state you're in.

   That is nice you got the MtoF already. With my court document and new name entered in SS, they changed my name, but had to keep the F until I get back from top surgery in August, with a letter from the surgeon. That with hormones is enough for the M. But I wasn't about to keep the other one until surgery, so it will be back to DMV for me in August. The other stuff was easy like my bank, my guard card and AAA card. Thaey all just needed a copy of the court order.
