Absolute Feelings

QuoteI really try never to judge people (because who am I to judge?) but this person used to pass herself off as a woman on the dating web sites and actually meet people without telling them she used to be a man. I know a woman who actually met her for lunch and was quite shocked when she walked in the restaurant. My friend immediately told her that she thought she left something out in her description of herself, and Ms. Transsexual got more and more mad (and her voice dropped lower and lower) until she finally walked out in anger. I understand people have to do what they have to do, but not telling someone you actually used to be a man is deplorable, in my opinion. I think women have a much easier go of it as far as being transgender goes and from what I've seen (which really has been very little and mostly just what I've learned about online) most women-to-men stay in the lesbian community and are very accepted (except by this dirt person - anyone read her blog? W.O.W. Talk about hateful) and it seems that a lot of feminine lesbians like women who've transitioned to men.

QuoteI really try never to judge people...

Those words rank right up there with, "Some of my best friends are (fill in the blank)..." on the disingenuous scale.
"Anyone who attempts to play the 'real transsexual' card should be summarily dismissed, as they are merely engaging in name calling rather than serious debate."

I encourage you and others to leave a comment.

The downfall of progressives is to believe that conservatives will see the logic of their point of view, and will go, "Oh,  how thoughtless of me!  You're right!"

That won't work in the case of repealing Prop 8, for example.  Raising a holy stink and making as many of the Yes on 8 voters feel uncomfortable (though not threatened,) will have a greater effect.

If this poster receives some respectfully worded comments that challenge her statements, she may feel uncomfortable having her position challenged in the immediate future, but later she may experience a shift in her thinking.

Do consider leaving a respectful comment.
