If you even think of smelling it..you don't wear it!

you don't huff the clothes, you just kind of stand within proximity to where someone is usually standing next to you and smell it. if you can smell it from there then it's time to get a new shirt. the clothes on the floor (amy kicks them into my corner in the morning!) are the ones that are good to wear, the ones in the dresser and the ones that i almost never wear. then when it's absolutely necessary to do laundry, they get done, stay in the laundry basket when they're clean and eventually get taken out of that one by one.

you can also tell if it's time to wash it if it doesn't move at all... it it's hard as a rock, it's time to go!

wow... you're right chynna... poor spike!! lol, if it smells really bad i'm sure she'd tell me, it never really gets to that point... necessarily...

Actually one way you can tell if your shoes need  to be dumped is when they start to walk all by them selves.

And I thought it was just me. I wear my jeans as long as I can before washing them; being unemployed and living in an apartment, it saves me a lot of money on laundromat washers. Shirts I change pretty much every day, though it depends on how long I wore them for. Shoes don't get thrown out when they walk by themselves; instead, they get upped in value. Vintage is in, remember? 

Even when I had money and free laundry facilities, though, I did the whole smell-and-see bit; I can remember, in high school, finding a pair of jeans I loved and just wearing them all week... I'd wash them when they smelled bad enough. And don't forget, Tino... even if they do smell bad, there's always Febreze!

Yeah, now I just sound like an unwashed miscreant. Oh, well.

I hope you guys dont buy that I put up with teen boy yuckiness. What Tino will kill me for telling you all is ... he is a bit of a metrosexual (that's right metrosexual). He is good looking, dresses very nice, his hair is done, he is tidy, he always smells great & his clothes look ironed all the time! METROSEXUAL! I love my hot man grrr.
My daughter & I tease him about being metrosexual all the time. We say things like "hurry up and get ready you take longer in front of the mirror". lol Yeah right, my daughter is a very femmy 13 year old girly-girl & I have witnessed 'the gang' spend hours & hours prepping themselves (for what? a teen dance). I on the other hand can ready slightly fasted than my sexy T

I must admit, I'm obsessed with my hair as well, and I only have about 1/2 an inch on the sides and an inch or so on top. I have more hair product than I care to mention, but I don't spend forever on my hair... I pretty much spike it, slick it back, or comb it forward. But it is a big thing for me.

And I have quite a few different cologne sprays, as well. Just because you wear the same jeans for a couple days, it doesn't mean you have to smell bad.

Well said Rafe. They don't have to be ripped, gross smelling, dirty jeans to be wearing them everyday (or every other day). Jeans don't tend to smell... except for my work jeans... ok, dirty DIRTY secret (some of the guys out there may find this gross to)...
    I'm a landscaper and have a favorite pair of jeans that I wear for work. As a "luck"/ "superstition" thing I hadn't washed them for close to a year (until Amy finally told me to). They were just going to get dirty anyways!!!!!
