So today in Italian (our second day) we learned how to say what month we were born, and the teacher started going around and he asked me, "Lei in che mese e' nata?" and I replied automatically, "Io sono nato in mazzo." He corrected me to "nata". It stung. Fortunately, I said something to him after class and he said it's ok for me to use the masculine to refer to myself. I'm so happy. ^_^

I don't know Italian, but I'm guessing 'nata' is female and 'nato' is male? That's cool that your teacher is good with that, though. Congrats.

I think its awesome that you are sticking with your studies, staying in school and taking real classes.  Keep it up.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Very cool. I saw this right before I posted about a sortof similar situation. Let's hope my teacher is as awesome as yours.

Yeah, just from the first two days I can tell that he's a really good teacher. Quite easy-going, and with a great accent.

School = <3. =]

That was pretty cool of him. :)

I figured I might have to remind him again, but today when he asked that question again, he started to say it incorrectly, but then stopped himself and addressed me properly. It was cool, lol. I felt like a regular guy for that one moment.
