all i can tell you is that i wear size 10 or 12 stretchy knickers, and that translates to size 14 skirts for me.  i hope that might help.

Since weight can fluctuate a bit and even sizes can vary from place to place, I tend to look more for skirts with a belt, tie, or other adjustment.

Hi Tammy,

My experience has been that 16 is not always a 16 if you buy in regular shop the 16 is smaller than if you buy in a larger size shop. Helps to make sure the return policy allows you return is the size is not right.

Hi Tammy

I wear a USA size 14 in a dress, and jeans are size 12, depending on the brand. I have even squeezed into a 10, though, depending on the brand. I found a helpful chart online at http://www.fredericks.com/services/help.asp?91

You can look up your bust waist and hip size in inches and it translates into Misses sizes. Also has shoe sizes, bra sizes, etc. Very helpful! :)
