Changing Avatars...Why do I do it?

I know there have been some discussions on avatars on a couple of threads recently, and it got me thinking about why I keep changing mine so much.

Firstly I hope it is not too annoying to you all, but I have come to realise that it is my way of expressing how I feel, a bit like an over-sized emoticon. I don't want to post loads of pictures in the gallery and clog up the system, and I sort of like the idea that all my posts get linked to the way I feel now. ;)

I also suppose it is brought about by my frustration with living in stealth, so I guess you will all know I have finally decided to commit to transition when my avatar "stops" changing..... ;D

Now to you girls and guys that keep changing your account names ...

.....that really confuses the hell out of me...  ::)

Well Chrissty, if it matters at all, what I saw was you evolving.  I did the same earlier and still do it, just not as much.  To me, it's a natural part of transitioning.

There's a saying, "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve."  Maybe you seeing your evolution is helping you to believe what you want to achieve.  ;D

Personally, I think it is to make some of us jealous.  :icon_bunch:   You coming into your own and soon you will settle on one that will mean you are out of your stealth mode.

You look great now, I can only imagine how your going to look if you start HRT. I kinda like the different avatars.
  •

Chrissty

Well thanks girls,

I'll take that as an "OK" to keep changing them,...at least for now.... ;D

...and BTW...I'm the jealous one, as you have all moved on from this rut I'm in...

I change my avatar because it's fun. It does reflect my mood sometimes but not always. I guess I like to keep em guessing

I fear change.  It's almost never good.  So I never change, I've used that one for over 8 years now, and I use it everywhere I post, so... Change bad.

Is cool.   Now that started T plan on changing mine every once in a while too.  Give an update on how the changes are progressing.  Right now got a crappy picture of me around this time though.  oh well  Need loose weight, kilt belt almost doesn;t fit anymore lol
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

Hi All...

..I'm having a really sh**t week at the moment, so finding you all on this topic lifted my spirits somewhat..

Thank you Nicole and Cindy for your compliments... :icon_bunch:

Pica...you keep makin' me smile... :icon_joy:

Telka...You surprise me, I would have thought you lived for change in the events and concert business...but I guess I know what you mean..... I love workin' at small analogue systems to get the best out of them, but found the larger systems I worked on more logistical than emotional.... ;)

..and Aiden...great to see a new convert join the pic-swappin team.. ;D

Hi Chrissty  I was attempting to change mine when I come upon this post, and I had the dickens trying to figure out why the settings kept yappin at me about error, error, reminded me of the robot in Lost In Space. Anyway I gave up and when I got back to this thread, "Lo and Behold!"  There's me and Wing Walker in my avatar. I guess the robot lied. Liar liar light your pants on fire. "Hee, hee, hee." I pray that cheered you up some.  ;D

i just got a whole year's worth of fotos from a friend, she was the photographer on all our trips and outings. I was going to keep changing them, but I like this one because she caught me unaware. It's a real moment.

I get bored with them easily.

And I haven't found the one I'm looking for yet.
