I have recently decided to go bra-free.  I'm a little smaller than a 34A (basically, pretty flat chested) and since my breasts don't really bother me without one, I've decided that I don't really need a bra in the first place.  After two years on HRT, I haven't had much breast growth, but I suppose I'm happy with what I've been given.  I've thought of getting BA surgery, but my therapist advises against it until I get comfortable with myself.  I don't think it would make much of a difference, so the procedure isn't in my immediate future.

Instead of wearing a bra, I've resorted to camisoles instead.  They're a lot cuter and don't annoy me, which was the case with bras.  Nobody has really seemed to notice, and people still see me as a woman on a day-to-day basis.  When the weather warms up though, it's going to be sort of tricky wearing shorts and a tshirt with no bra...hmmm, still not sure how I'm going to do that.

What are your thoughts on going Bra-Free?

For me.  Ah....No. I am a small 38b, and while it wouldn't be unnoticed, I just feel uncomfortable without one.  I do have camisoles, but I still like a bra.

I usually go bra-less. Didn't see much need for it. Usually wear tank tops under whatever. Thought my breast growth was over. But recently I've been having a rather incredible and unexpected growth spurt. other folks have started to notice and comment. I recently overheard something about "miss can't find a bra". I'm not sure what I'll do when summer comes around either. 

I'm one of those that needs a bra pretty much all the time now.

No one held a gun to my head and forced me to have large breasts.  It was at my Dr's recommendation but I'm the one who said "YES"! 

When I work out now, if I don't rein in the "girls" I'll be sore pretty quickly.

Pre-transition, my nipples had become rather sensitive and I wore either a cami or a sports bra under my shirts.  And since it was winter, I wore a sweater over the shirt so I rarely worried about showing anything.  But I worried what would happen when warm weather came.

By the time warm weather *did* come around, I was out and showing bra strap lines under my shirt was considered normal.

But it does get uncomfortable by the end of the day and I can't wait to take mine off as soon as I get home.

I went bra-less for a large part of my life. Hiding my boobs (and nipples) was the challenge up to age 24 and transition and after that I only owned one bra for many years and only wore it with certain tops. Somehow Mother Nature continues to change things and by my 40's I was a C and found that many activities were uncomfortable without a bra so it became a standard part of my wardrobe. Even with a bra is can be hard to hide nipples. And yes, there is a great deal of relief to get unharnessed at the end of the day!

Only wear bras for physical activity or if I'm trying to impress

Personally find them uncomfortable same as jeans and always take both off as soon as I'm home. Always wears T-shirt and Indonesian tube sarongs at home for comfort.

I'm a 38B and bras are optional for me, except when exercising. I can take, or wear them, or not, it just depends on the outfit and the day. I don't feel a compelling need to wear one. Thanks for the input everyone, I was just curious.  I've done some reading and there's apparently some research which says that wearing a bra is actually a health risk for some, especially if the bra is too tight or doesn't fit properly, it can lead to back problems, etc.  Since my breasts are so small right now, I don't see the point in wearing a bra, maybe I will have to get one that does fit really well and use that during the summer.  Otherwise, I think I'll just stick to my camis (some of which have a built-in bra shelf).

I've always found the cami look your'e talking about to be very attractive; not in a sexual way but more of a "look at that gorgeous creature" kinda way. It's very authentic, natural...at least that's my perception. Anyway, I think it's pretty done right and if you can pull it off and are more comfortable I say more power to ya 

I kinda hate going bra free, but I have been for two days now and gotta say it kind of sucks, I just don't feel right and my back seems to have gotten worse.

Mostly bra for me...due to poking nipples.  , plus my kids don't want to see them...

34 small C and i never wear a bra. 270cc and i love my nipples sticking out. Its time women have their freedom of expression and to hide nipples is silly. I can see not wearing completely see thru tops but a nipple showing is not a bad thing. We make things bad by hiding things.

Yes at work but no after work and weekends. I love the look of wearing a "wife beater" with no bra.

I've been on HRT for two years, and wearing a bra doesn't really help in shaping my breast, because there's nothing there to shape.  The difference between my band size and cup size is less than an inch, so I'm very flat chested. 

But, it's better than what I had pre-HRT, so I'll take it.

I don't very often wear a bra and my breast contour looks better without one. HRT hasen't done much in that department, so the smallest bra's are what I have to wear if I choose to wear one.

I have 34a as well, but mine are very pokey outey, and I feel uncomfortable if I go bra-less, because my nipples are really prominent.  Plus my nipples are pretty sensative, and a bra keeps them from getting rubbed by whatever shirt I'm wearing.

My nipples are rather perky and sensitive also. But I kinda like to feel them against my shirts. I'll wear shirts that have some texture just so they do rub them
