I was at the store looking at my list and deciding what I could afford to buy. Suddenly a voice came from behind me. "Hey ya dumb bitch! Get the F-n Hell out of the way!"  A bit shocked by this I turned and scooted over. Then he continues- "It's stupid bitches like you that F- the whole country up!"  So then I was wondering to myself.  "Did I just pass? Or was the redneck just too angry?" I just smiled and said "Oh, excuse me" and let him pass

I'm surprised you didnt spin on him, knee him in the crotch and tell him he had more cylinders in his car than brain cells in his head.. or something to that effect.
I guess the shock of having a meathead randomly flap his pie eating face at you can easierly put you on the spot. hhmm.. I guess the safer option is usually the best!

When I was younger I prob. would have spun him. I guess I'm mellowing with age.

It's sort of like a backhanded compliment.  Whenever I've been called a bitch I usually smile and say "Why, thank you for noticing."  I have a sticker on the back of my motorcycle helmet it says "You say Bitch like it's a bad thing."

This went through my mind also. A bunch of people were staring. Then an elderly woman came over and said "Oh my..." Putting a hand on my arm. The workers at the store started following Mr. Potty Mouth around

Update

I went to the store yesterday. As I pulled into the parking lot, guess who I saw being arrested?  I don't think Mr. Potty mouth will be bothering folks at the store for awhile
