@ Lovingkindess.  You could have said, "Go read The Secret."  Subjective realism and whatnot.

While subjective realism is an interesting take on reality, certain parts of which I subscribe to, I think that becoming overly-nuanced into the details takes on too much of a religious character.  There's a lot of non-sensical language, and suggestions/claims about Laws and the Universe that are subjective by their nature and therefore unverifiable.

If subjective realists were able to communicate their ideas to non-converts a little bit better, I think they'd have a lot more success rather than getting stuck in their own heads.

P.S. the biggest problem I have with subjective realism is the idea that people can gain superpowers by just believing in them.  In my experience, the "universe" does have a set of rules that hold, and my beliefs about them will not change the moment-to-moment experiences I have in an objective sense.  However, it is possible for individuals to take on empowering beliefs and therefore subjectively change their experience of reality.  For example, changing one's outwardly-appearing gender can allow a person to lead a life more congruent with their inner feelings, thereby validating one's internal perception of their gender and clearing up the "crap from the hard drive".  In the language of subjective realism, this means that an individual creates the intention to transition, thereby receiving whatever psychological benefits they believe will come from the process.
