The other day my mother brought over some sweets. She seems to be actively resisting my efforts to lose weight, but I politely accepted them so she would feel like she was taking care of me.

Anyway they've sat in my refrigerator for like a week, and finally today I opened up a chocolate pudding-pie.

oh

my

god

I had heard that chocolate was a whole different experience for women than it is for men, but I had no idea. It literally made me weak in the knees and I had to sit down. Dayum.

This isn't psychosematic. I've eaten those things before hrt and don't remember being overly impressed. This is a whole other level. I feel like I want to go all around town and taste everything again to see what I've been missing out on.

So for me my new nemesis is apparently chocolate pudding pies. I never cared for sweets before so this is new. Has anyone else developed odd cravings or tastes?

Oddly enough, today I noticed how amazing cheese tastes.  I have always had an affinity for cheese, but today.  OMG!

It's not that it tasted any different than I remember, I just got an insane amount of pleasure from eating it.  There was so much satisfaction.

How long have you been on HRT Hannah?  Just curious.

I started on antiandrogens some time ago, and two weeks ago we increased the dose, tacked on another kind of antiandrogen and added estrogens. I'm a little jealous that aside from a new found love for chocolate pudding, (I just finished another one btw) nothing *physical* has happened yet.

chocolate is really, really good. I know that when I started hormones things started to taste different, and chocolate became really awesome. I know that's happened to other friends of mine as well. A lot of changes happen, enjoy it. :)
