We found out that my wife is pregnant yesterday. Don't get me wrong... This is great news. I love kids, and I always wanted two children (ideally, this baby will be a girl, but I'd be happy with a boy as well).

But.. I also know this means any hope of me transitioning is delayed for a couple more years at the least. Also, I don't particularly like how masculine fathering another child makes me feel right now.

So yeah, it's a crazy mixture of euphoria and melancholy for me right now...

Aw! Congrats on the new kido. Don`t feel like you are fathering another child. Just know that they have two mothers. On of them just looks like Jack Black.( for now)

You might look masculine but you don't have to parent in a masculine way. Approach it in a way that feels right. Do the best you can do. That is all the child will want from you.

Having a baby and transitioning are not mutually exclusive things. Don't be afraid to approach it. Just take things a little easier and allow for down time.

congratulations!

Maybe transitioning soon would not be a bad idea. The sooner a child becomes accustomed to it the better. Young children learn very quickly and adjust. I have two daughters and they have their own lives now. Me being a CD didn't seems to bother them much. Actually it was accepted and nobody seemed to notice. Congratulations and good luck.Genevieve

Congrats on the new edition. I understand about the kid thing I have 2 and after 2 years of trying to decide what to do I decided the younger they were the better. Today I took one of my sons to the dr. (I haven't told them yet seeing my therapist today about how to do that) and I asked if he would still hold my hand if I was his dad. He said yes and asked why, I said well I was just asking and he said then I would just call you papa and smiled. (hes 9)
Kids are amazing.

Just remember you never really know the answer to that question until you ask them and they answer... :P
