I have been taking Lynoral ( Estinyl, Generic Ethinyl Estradiol ),pills each day for about a month and I've noticed that my mood swings are gotten more or less out of hand. Everyone at work knows I'm taking Lynoral and has asked me to cut back so that my additude does't cause trouble with my fellow employees. I say to hell with them, if they can't deal with it screw them. But when it comes to living at home, My elder ones (mom and dad) don't know I have been taking anything and they can't understand where my additude is coming from. Should I go ahead and tell my parents I've been taking Lynoral? Also many times of the day no matter where I'm at I get a very VERY strong euge to yell until I go Super Saiyjin and destroy everything around me but I don't act on this and it builds all damn day until I break and start crying. Damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn, I JUST WANT IT TO SHUT UP!!!!!!

I need help..

edited to remove dosage amount. -- Nichole

I read somewhere once that for some people, when they start trying to supress their androgen levels, the body responds by making more androgens. As far as a better choice of estrogen, from what I understand I think a good answer would be just about any.

Anger and a bad attitude aren't usually what people report a month into estrogen therapy. I think you should stop taking that medicine and call the doctor.

Ive been on hormones since december 08. So about 2 1/2 months. My moods are starting to level off. Kind of. I still have the occasional mood swing. It gets easier. I hadn't thought about them until I read your post. So that should say something, as I used to obsess over them. They really freaked me out too!!!! Good luck with the moods.

Mood swings with early hrt seem about normal for females. As your levels reach more of an equilibrium your mood swings should level off as well. Early days you get the very high estro level followed by a drop off and that seems to indice mood swings in some. But a doctor is who ya want adjusting your meds, not one of us and truly not yourself!

I cannot advocate any particular estrogen, but I'd try to find something that's more bio-identical. But that would just be my preference and lots of people, UK and Europe particularly, use the ethinyl estradiol and state they have no problems. Most things in all of transition are YMMV, your mileage may vary. We all don't share a common metabolism or a common body, ya know?

I forgot the PM yesterday, Carolyn. But it would have said something like the one you're about to get. :)

Next week will be three months on HRT - the blockers and estradoil, but also a 10 days a month progesterone.  Its the 'change' in dosages that set me of with wild mood swings I think, not necessarily the estradoil.  My dosage is split, one at night, one in the morning.  Are you doing that?

I thought my mood swings were under control - until last night I started bawling and couldn't stop.  It's a roller coaster ride, sweetheart.
