I wasn't sure for a long time about what my middle name will be when I go through the process to acquire a legal name change (mostly stuck between choosing Jessica or Christine), but I have finally chosen one for sure...

I think Jessica makes a very nice middle name. It just so happens to be my first name from birth. Sarah Jessica Lewis has a very pretty ring to it. Good choice.

I sympathize with the difficulty of picking a new middle name because that's where I'm stuck right now.

My new name will be Kristen (first) Davis (last). The current candidates for my middle name are Leigh and Lily. I'm leaning more towards Lily.

Lily sounds lovely. ^^ Whichever you pick though, both are nice!

I was able to choose because all of my friends have given me very good response to 'Jessica' as my potential middle name, and it was the first one I ever seriously considered... I also think it sounds nice, every time I say it to myself, whereas I'm not always so sure with Christine. =)

That's so funny. I used a very similar strategy for choosing my new names.

The first name was for myself and is supposed to represent me. The last name is to honor my family and my mother's side. For the middle name, I employ the help of my friends to see what they think fits me.

Coincidentally, we both have names that are very similar to two of the girls from Sex and the City. Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) and Kristin Landen Davis (Charlotte).

What a fun coincidence. Even though I've never watched Sex and the City.

  Very nice name, Sarah. I read somethings about people changing names last night and spent a lot of time thinking about my name change, over 33 yrs ago.

I wanted a name to reflect who I would become. I wanted a name with gentle strength. I was never macho and didn't think changing to male would change me that much.

The name you choose will precede you in the rest of your life. (sorry, in lecture mode). It doesn't matter it its, 'Hi, this is Sarah Davis, and I want to talk to someone about repairing my fridge', or when they call your name to get a degree, or at your wedding.Your name will come first and your body next.

This change is irreversible. Let your name show your resolve, your personality, and the strength it took to get you there. Good luck in the future.
