How many of you keep journals? How many of you keep old photos or clss picture books?

I personally have none, in fact, I really don't go out of my way to record my life. I don't have patience for writing in a book probably noone will ever read. I don't want reminders of who I was, or what I had to put up with. I guess when I think about it, i'm like a ghost, drifting through life and leaving only a slight change in my wake. Or at least as I am now, probably will leave a bigger dent as I transition.

These are just my thoughts on keeping memories, feel free to add your two cents worth.

I never had a journal until recently.  My therapist suggested it to help me face some of the issues of my childhood.

I used to obsess about things all night long and never sleep, now I write these thoughts down before I go to bed and am able to sleep more.

I'm trying to finally learn how to live my life, here and now.

I managed to keep some work, a screenplay, type-o-thing
A good reflection of what was good about being me
But I don't know if I want to be invested in images of the past
In my case not especially helpful.

I keep a journal. Not daily, it is not a record of events, just thoughts.
I was never in school long enough to obtain any yearbooks.
I have a few pictures.
To me, I was always the same person - there is no her and him.
But speaking of N, she was depressed, but she had a lot of fun as well. I cherish my memories of her, and the things she did. I regret nothing. Life wasn't great, but, oh what a romance it was!

Haven't kept a journal.  It strikes me as an arrogant thing to do as if what I said and did was of any importance to others.
However a journal of things that I have discovered that impress as important or worthy or worth looking into later when I have more time seems a good idea

I have a couple of blogs.  The one linked in my sig is my plain vanilla one.  I hide my BDSM blog and only give access to Sir so that he can read it.

No written journals and the things I wrote for my first therapist are long gone.

My mom has all of my old yearbooks and pictures and I do not allow many pictures to be taken of me now.  For me my past is past and I have no desire to go back to it in any way, shape, or form.

I have been journaling since 2 November 2003.  That is only 2 days after Halloween, and 2 days when I first understood that Dr. Jeckyll and Ms. Hyde are the same person.  I write when I have something to say, be it good, bad or in between.

My journal knows my deepest thoughts, and does so in complete confidence.  It has also helped me clarify my thoughts into something coherent.

And, yes, I have copied a few posts from here to there, giving credit where it is due.

Without being able to journal, I am not sure where I would be.

Memories are rememberences...

Memmories are memmonics used to remember things...

Momeries are the things you remember as a Mom...

Mammaries are what you use to stay abreast of things today!
